After a long sabbatical in 2023, The Blank Canvas Ensemble, based in Liverpool, returns.
This session is for musicians to meet new people and play music.
It is also a concert an audience can witness and listen to.

Launched in May 2020, The 50:50 Online project, The Blank Canvas Octet, continues to meet weekly on Zoom.

50:50 is an ensemble music made in the present moment. The Listener, the musician, cannot predict the emergent properties of sound and personalities that 50:50 supports. It is mutual and symbiotic. It is a performance forged in the air that it moves.

Ensemble 50:50 London - Uncovering the strengths and limits of freedom and improvisation

A revolutionary system that employs tacet/silence to shape the sound of improvisations within an egalitarian framework.
It replaces freedom with agency, agency to create an ensemble sound made by an ensemble.

The Blank Canvas Octet Live on Zoom every week Wednesday at 19.00

Why is improvisation important?
