The Gathering - Liverpool 08.01.2024 Cancelled - due to the weather

Written by

The Gathering is a space for improvisation, where musicians can be together and play what they see fits in the moment.

NOTES from Phil Hargreaves

Happy New Year, adventurers all!!

As you are doubtless aware, Mon 8th should be Gathering night. However -
December's was A Bit Parky (if you weren't there, there is a heater, but
it barely made a dent on the cold). Monday is forecast to be Quite a Bit
Colder, so i reckon it's probably best if we cancel. Or at least, i'm
cancelling, and i'm the one with the keys. I appreciate that if you come
from Cumbria you're immune to cold, but my fingers were getting stiff.

Same drill in Feb, ie i'll check the forecast 48 hours beforehand.

If you're signed up for the Treatise performance, i'll be in touch in a
week or two.

About the gathering

The Gathering is not a workshop, and no external structures will be imposed.

The Gathering is not a  concert: everyone in the room is a participant, including those who may be listening.

The Gathering is not a rehearsal or recording session: it is the actual thing itself.
