about the improvisers
DANIEL THOMPSON
Acoustic guitar. An animated and highly communicative musician.
Part of a UK new wave of jazz and improvised music, Daniel Thompson plays extraordinary spontaneous music featuring fluid animated textures, intricate guitar designs often richoceting from below the bridge to high up on the neck, keeping a profound musical narrative moving.
COLIN WEBSTER
Saxophone. Collaborating with some of the key figures in improvised and experimental music, Webster is known for working from extreme sonic palettes.
Saxophonist Colin Webster is quickly establishing himself on the European avant garde scene. His playing exudes a calm and subtle counterpoint underpinning a range of remarkable techniques including snarls, snorts and irregularly emphasized textural splinters of different textures.

International improvised music is increasingly evolving in compelling and engaging patterns. Empathic highs and lows never sit still making this form of music with its vast range of expression from psychedelic freak out to hilarity to meditative peace and quiet highly accessible and the ideal antidote to post pandemic blues.
