Our final performance of the year at The Hall sees us introduce a true Lancaster Jazz Festival favourite, solo cellist Maja Bugge. She will perform her own music inspired by the simultaneously beautiful and brutal landscapes of the north of Norway, where she was born and brought up. Balancing melody and rhythm with external ambience, acoustics and atmosphere, her last appearance at The Hall Café resulted in a rather unusual improvisation for coffee machines and cello.
