She’ll be performing an improvisational piece of hers which was initially a sound collage commissioned by the Calderdale branch of Yorkshire Sound Women Network. Inspired by and called ‘The Valley’, it’s made up of ‘sounds of the salon’ - hairdryers, clippers, polystyrene heads, foils - put through a harsh bleaching process.

Before and after her set will be our usual jams, with names pulled from hats at random to improvise together. Bring instruments, toys, objects, laptops, or just yourselves. Everyone is welcome to play or just listen.

As ever the night is free, with a collection for the guest. We hope to see you there.
