This edition features sets from:

John Bisset improvised on the guitar from 1977 until 2022 when arthritis redirected him to the lap steel. A good move and full of welcome unpredictability and new sounds. The duo with Jem Finer has been ongoing for a couple of years, and their musical relationship goes back decades. Jem has also found new life in an old instrument: the hurdy gurdy. It’s a well matched pairing of drones and whoops and slippery tonality.

Rookery Ensemble formed in 2018 from previous projects through the music and art collaborations and relationship of George E Harris with Alison O’Melia – Piano / Clarinet / Accordion who worked together as a duo with others to form the sonic basis of the ensembles sound in the world between contemporary experimental music and Avant pop / folk.
But To describe the ensemble's sound is to box it in and that’s the last thing they wish to do.
In December 2020 Alison sadly passed away so it took a period of time for George to work out what to do and that was in continuing making sounds and words with others and sometimes going out solo.
The line-up for this performance will be:
George E Harris - Electronics / Percussion / Melodica / Voice
Erik Moore - Guitar / Bass / Electronics
Hilary Robinson - Piano / Melodica / Voice

We are Blanc Sceol (Stephen Shiell & Hannah White), an artist duo whose work has emerged & expanded throughout our years of collaboration across performance, improvisation, composition, participatory actions, deep listening facilitation, somatic gatherings. We create performances that have been described as ‘transcendent’ ‘other-worldly’ & ‘ethereal’, reflecting our attempts to expand ourselves, through listening & sound, beyond our physical limits & to extend this personal/performance practice into the collective.

Me, Claudius is an experimental musician living in a village in Southern England. She has released music on Dinzu Artefacts, Bezirk Tapes and Linear Obsessional.
Using everything from record players to skipping CDs, field recording, found instruments and sampling, Me, Claudius captures the musical and rhythmic events that exist in the most unexpected places in our environment. A perverse sense of chaos in order seeps into the shifts and structures of her music. Her percussion is sounds just on the edge of familiarity, the creaks, buzzes and whirs that infiltrate our subconscious. From the murk they congeal again and again into dub-affected rhythms. As if a glitch has somehow skipped out of a machine and wormed its way into disturbing the real world. (written by Daryl Worthington)
