He has incorporated everything from acoustic instruments and environmental sound to analogue and computer synthesis into recorded works, live performances, film, sound installations and workshops. He has a pluralistic approach which explores connections and relationships and revealing the hidden potential in all sounds, environments and technologies, often in intimate, immersive and intuitive ways.

He has performed and presented work in the UK, Europe and US and has led workshops and produced collaborative, educational and community-based projects for Whitechapel Gallery, South London Gallery, Artsadmin and New Contemporaries.

Floating Arm

Floating Arm is an ongoing collaborative project between tenor saxophonist Tom Hadley and sound artist Andy Rowe. They have been producing improvised pieces since 2018 and currently experiment and record at Bally studios in Tottenham. The project explores the creative sonic possibilities of a tenor saxophone with a single stringed midi bass guitar layering found sounds and self collected samples through Ableton Live. Their music can be heard via the Floating Arm Bandcamp page and also at this live improvised performance at Ealing Extranormal.

Beachers

Beachers is the project of London-based Daryl Worthington. He works in the crossovers between accidental and composed sounds, hi and lo-fi audio, with a particular interest in the beauty of the mundane. This takes an array of approaches, from explorations of the materiality and tactility of radio signals through to analogue synthesis, field recording and cassette collages and sample-based computer music. His new album 'There are no cicadas in this town' is out now. It's a contemplation on sensory overload at the edge of the city, blurring droning, rustling guitar into wheezing field recordings.

Ben Barrett & Flooded Access

Ben Barrett is a London-based guitarist who builds ambient drones from improvised and processed loops. His music aims to transform the sound of guitar and immerse the listener in the melodic possibilities of layered sound combinations and phantom harmonies.

He has self-released the albums Electric Guitar Orchestra and A Onda as well as a compilation of tracks released by Take Records, Absence of Wax, Twin Freaxx, In Response to…,Futuresequence and others.

Musician and visual artist Martin Lau’s sound work involves the creation of improvised music/soundscapes using electronics and woodwinds, and attempts to connect to an expansiveness as evoked by outer space and the deep sea. His pursuit of timbre-based electronic music can be traced back to his school days. He performs under the name Flooded Access and hosts the monthly experimental music showcase Ealing Extranormal.
