djamtomorrow

Following an encounter with a large already-electrified mbira in a store in Harare some years ago while learning traditional mbira, djamtomorrow’s mission became to bring the sound of the Zimbabwean mbira to those who may not have heard what it can do when amplified, processed, looped and micro-looped. The hand forged keys and resonant sound board provide a rich source for the effects chains to work with to produce improvised pieces of layered and evolving textures recalling the contexts he has played and heard mbira over the years.

Ben Glass

Ben Glass makes minimalist electronic psychedelic music. For Ealing Extranormal he will be performing a one off improvisation using at least one found object, and analog electronics.

on&off

on&off is a collaborative performance project between artists Nikolai Kozin and Martin Lau. Nikolai creates live animated drawings (using Tagtool software) accompanied by soundscapes produced by Martin (electronics and woodwind), with each element being improvised in response to the other.
