We'll kick off in The Morlan Centre, good parking and easily accessible, and meet in the back room. I am on a diet, but cakes/biscuits teas and coffees will be provided. This event is free-donations are welcome.
The idea is to provide a friendly space to make extraordinary, experimental music, to try out ideas and approaches in an informal environment, learn from each other and to hear some new experimental music, have ago, see what other people are doing, using, get some ideas
If you are interested in eg: noise, drone, modulars, improvised,feedback systems, algorithmic music, chance music ergodic, sonification, cybernetic, no input mixing board, databent, diy, Arduino/pi/teensy, other hacked approaches, electroacoustic, fixed media, audiomulch, pd, max, csound, composers desktop project, come along.
AV, Processing, Max/Msp Jitter, BYOB, Super8 analogue flim etc et al come along too.
Tech spec to follow. Basic mixer and 2 powered monitors, bring your own equipment.
If you'd like to turn up and hear what is going on (i.e. not perform) you are most welcome. And if you'd like to dip your toe into the water-then this is the ideal place to do so
