Lawr i'r Mor/Down to the Sea

I am pleased to invite you to 'Lawr i'r Mor/Down to the Sea'.

This is the first version of a site specific performance, I have been creating in and around Caernarfon Castle, close to where I live, in North Wales. For this new dance work I have been collaborating with sound artist Caro C, and exploring relationships between the people of Caernarfon, the castle and the sea. The work features voices of local residents and is inspired by the quote “Yma wyf finna i fod”,“I am where I am supposed to be”, which can be found inscribed in slate on Caernarfon promenade. writes Rosalind Holgate Smith

The performance will begin in the upper courtyard from where you will be guided down to the sea by the journey of two dancers and an atmospheric soundtrack, listened to on headphones, creating an intimate and moving experience.
