BRÅK is an improvised music series taking place at waterintobeer in Brockley, South East London, hosted by Cath Roberts, Tom Ward and Colin Webster. Each night comprises three duo sets, in which the hosts are joined by guest musicians from the UK scene and beyond.
Shronk is a series of live concerts of experimental and improvised music, dance and performance. Shronk also release music from SKRONK events.
The singer Maggie Nicols was a founding member of the Feminist Improvising Group in 1977 as well as being a key member of John Stevens' Spontaneous Music Ensemble and Keith Tippett's ambitious jazz-rock group, Centipede. For over 30 years she has run regular improvisation meetings called The Gatherings.
PROCESS:WORKSHOP is a day-long dive into free improvisation and Soundpainting, a musical 'sign-language' for spontaneous composition and directed improvisation.
