Ort is a venue in the heart of Balsall Heath hosting a full programme of events including live music, spoken word, cinema, dance, comedy, language classes, craft and photography workshops, drumming and pop-up kitchens all in a cosy, intimate setting.

Facilities available

  • Stairs. Lifts & access. Cafe Ort is on the ground floor. Cafe Ort is a separate organisation to the Printworks (citation required) which occupies the rest of what is a large former industrial site (small). There maybe mobility issues regarding access to the toilets.
  • Catering and refreshments : There is a kitchen in the space providing meals and drinks. Provisions of alcohol status: not known, citation required.
  • Room tone, noise bleed, sound insulation and double glazing. Cafe Ort is situated on a busy road. Site visit indicate there would be noise bleed from the street. This should be taken into consideration.

Parking, and local transport issues

The 50 bus runs along the Moseley Road outside the cafe and there are stops close to the venue. There is cycle parking directly outside Ort and in The Old Print Works car park along with a bike pump and basic bike tools.

There is no public car park but car parking on the residential roads around the venue.
