Now is the Time - a celebration of the art of improvisation

A concert exploring the rich possibilites of improvisation in music, visual art and performance with the Hullabaloo Orchestra and special guests. This will be a unique night of musical exploration, art and performance.
The guests include some of the South Wests most interesting improvisors, including local actor/director Ged Stephenson, violinist Yvonna Magda, guitarist Matthew Grigg, double bassist Dominic Lash, flautist Tina Hitchens and on viola de gamba, voice and other instruments Jenny Bliss
The performers combine influences from classical music, folk, jazz, stand up comedy and performance. There will also be contributions from local artists and film makers.
The evening is part of the Hullabaloo Festival of Improvisation.

Hullabaloo is an improvising orchestra that has been playing for over a year, constantly growing and evolving with a core membership of 20 local musicians. Hullabaloo is not a jazz ensemble but a space for instrumentalists, singers and sound explorers to explore and create music together, involving people with backgrounds in classical, folk, world, electronic, rock, blues as well as jazz
