The density index, is a statistical value not a musical value - or expanding the musical value element: a statistical value that is System 50:50 density index of 1 may `sound` different every time it is performed. [ sound? citation required]

Players: 10
Ratio: 9 minutes tacet, 1 minute freeplay
The ensemble play 2 pieces with the above settings, the following technically could happen
- In the first piece all ten players play at the same time, continuously for one minute, then remain tacet for 9 minutes.
- In the second pieces, no player plays at the same time as another player, result 10 minutes of continuous playing or sound
- The two outcomes, the pieces will sound very different: they have the same `density index / sound mass
