Excited to announce that SCRATCH finally returns to Storiel Bangor on Fri Nov 26 with an extra special performance by London improv duo Daniel Thompson & Colin Webster
Tickets will be available early next week.

DANIEL THOMPSON

Acoustic guitar. An animated and highly communicative musician.
Part of a UK new wave of jazz and improvised music, Daniel Thompson plays extraordinary spontaneous music featuring fluid animated textures, intricate guitar designs often ricocheting from below the bridge to high up on the neck, keeping a profound musical narrative moving.

COLIN WEBSTER

Saxophone. Collaborating with some of the key figures in improvised and experimental music, Webster is known for working from extreme sonic palettes.
Saxophonist Colin Webster is quickly establishing himself on the European avant garde scene. His playing exudes a calm and subtle counterpoint underpinning a range of remarkable techniques including snarls, snorts and irregularly emphasized textural splinters of different textures.

Plus

local trio Ash Cooke, Stuart Bond and Peter Digby Lee

About Scratch

Scratch

SCRATCH is a new series of improvised music events that aim to encourage an open dialogue among audiences, musicians and artists, building dynamics that may not have formed organically otherwise.

The emphasis is very much on performance as art/action/event! SCRATCH is dedicated to the practise of improvised music, contemporary composition and performance art.

Storiel Bangor have very kindly offered us their upper gallery for our gigs and we very much hope that through the interaction of performers and audiences within the space SCRATCH events will also generate something of a unique sonic response to the content of the works on display.
