The Continental is excited to welcome back the legend that is DAMO SUZUKI.

Damo is best known for his stint as frontman of legendary Krautrock / psych act CAN on their most celebrated brace of albums; Soundtracks, Tago Mago, Ege Bamyasi and Future Days - he also features heavily on The Lost Tapes, released in 2012.

After parting ways with CAN in 1973, Damo eventually returned to the world of music in 1982, setting up DAMO SUZUKI'S NETWORK, a concept he's adhered to to this day. Put simply., he travels the world hooking up with local psychedelic and avant-garde acts ('Sound Carriers'), as curated by the various venues and promoters. They meet up on the night, jam, and new sounds are made, an improvised brand new performance on the night.

Damo's first appearance here at The Conti back in March 2009 (with 3D Tanx) was in fact our first 'proper' gig - which makes it all the more wonderful that he's here to help us celebrate 10 epic years of live music shows!

Your sound carriers: Tero Kulero

A four piece psych rock outfit from Preston, Tero Kulero throw a multitude of disparate musical elements, riffs and drones at the wall, stick them through effects and a pasting table full of synthesizers, before finally drowning it all in a wave of reverb. Don't let the fact that they're a fairly new combo throw you - all four hail from other popular acts, making this Preston's very own cosmiche and motorik supergroup. Last seen here supporting the mighty Ecstatic Vision!

Plus super-special space guests: PILL FANGS

PILL FANGS is Dan Haywood (gtr and vox), Rob Daniels (drums), Richard Turner (gtr) and Simon Fletcher (bass).

Expect thunderous tom-toms, fuzz, manic solos and enigmatic lyrics from Dan, who was recently described in Record Collector Magazine as ''the best songwriter you've probably never heard of''.

Playing garage rock originals from their well-received LP 'PF1' (on Sunstone Records) as well as their punk re-write of Leonard Cohen's classic 'Tower of Song', Pill Fangs is one of the freshest guitar groups around. Their second LP is set for release around the time of this show!

Plus extra-special galactic guests: Cold Bath Street

Cold Bath Street's 'Dream of Space' concerts promoted their Sound Research Rebellion album and saw them working alongside staff of Alston Observatory and visual artist Anne Fox to create something really special. Compared to Bowie, Floyd, Can, Gong & Jethro Tull. This will be an amazing opening to this very special night at The Continental!

"A unique and very special opportunity and experience"
