Introduction

The term blog means an article, an article on a website. Wikipedia states that a blog (a truncation of "weblog") is a discussion or informational website published on the World Wide Web that consists of discrete, often informal, diary-style text entries (posts).

For this site, the topic or content is about free ensemble improvisation, its nature, and practice. An active social media and newsletter campaign will support the blog entry. The website improvisers' networks online are looked at and read in higher volumes than single-topic sites, e.g. mysite.com.

How to share

Send your article or blog entry about the nature and practice of free ensemble improvisations to: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

Or use the form at the following link

Top tip: An image helps. Either specific to your article or use the same image for every blog article you supply.

Criteria and tone

Criteria: Nothing official yet. There has been no decision. The site does not want a photo of your salad at your favourite diner. The fine-tuning of criteria will follow.

However, the feature is about free ensemble improvisation. Music made without prior preparation creates itself through active listening, and there is no external referent to interpret.

This criteria means the following do not match the criteria, but given that we are open-minded, the following practices may appear in the blogs. Warning: Let us not let the tail wag the dog!
